2. How Our Tools Work
All file conversions — image conversion, PDF processing, audio/video transcoding, unit conversion, and file compression — are processed entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies such as JavaScript, WebAssembly, and browser-native APIs. Your files are never uploaded to any server.
This means:
- No files are transmitted over the internet
- No files are stored on any remote server
- No third party can access your files during conversion
- You can use our tools offline after the page loads
3. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information. Specifically:
3.1 Files You Convert
Files you drag, drop, or select for conversion are processed exclusively in your browser's memory (RAM) and are cleared when you close the tab or navigate away. We have no access to them.
3.2 Usage Data
We do not use analytics services, tracking scripts, or cookies that monitor your behavior. We do not collect IP addresses, browser fingerprints, session data, or any other form of personally identifiable information.
3.3 Cookies
easyformatswap does not set any cookies on your device. Our pages contain no third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
Our tools load open-source JavaScript and WebAssembly libraries from CDN providers (jsdelivr.net) to power conversion features such as libheif for HEIC decoding, pdf.js for PDF processing, pdf-lib for PDF generation, ffmpeg.wasm for media conversion, and browser-image-compression for image compression.
These libraries are loaded directly by your browser to perform conversions locally. The CDN provider may log the request for the library file itself as part of standard CDN operations, but your files are never sent to the CDN or any third party.
5. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since we collect no data at all, this is inherently compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
6. Data Security
Because all processing happens on your device and no data is ever transmitted to our servers, there is no risk of server-side data breaches affecting your files. The security of your data is managed by the security of your own device and browser.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including CCPA in California and GDPR in the EU/UK), you may have rights regarding your personal data.
